We were surprised when a Major League Pitcher sat down with us to discuss a website for his other passion — brewing beer.   It turns out that Chris Ray, formerly with the Seattle Mariners, is an Ashlander by marriage.  With his brother, Phillip, Chris is opening the Center of the Universe Brewing Company in 2012.  Not only did we design a logo for the Rays’ new company, but we but together a website that is built to grow as fast as their Brewing Company.

Hops for Heroes is a charity, brewing beer to benefit the Operation Homefront organization which supports military families at home.   Created by the folks behind the Center of the Universe Brewing Company, they needed a small, informative site about the beer.  It’s not easy to design a website that combines the military, beer and charity in a way that captures the spirit of this wonderful effort, but Slash Technology was able to hit the nail on the head with this inspired design.

The Hanover Cares Coalition is a wonderful non-profit whose mission is to mobilize community awareness of substance abuse and to promote drug-free youth.  Their existing website was loaded with helpful information, but navigation was difficult, confusing, and there was no way to push current news and events in an eye-catching way.  Slash Technology to the rescue!

A premier national music venue in addition to being a fave spot for the locals, Ashland Coffee and Tea’s website was revamped in 2009.   Little did we know that the amount of traffic would hit record highs — according to Alexa rankings, out of 350 million websites, Ashland Coffee and Tea is at the 4 million spot!   It was time to make the website lighter, more efficient, and hacker-proof.  We also added some great new features.

Max Riederer von Paar is a tax attorney, but who says his website has to feel stuffy?  Slash Technology rotated some gorgeous photographs around the world to give the site international flair and showcase Mr. Riederer’s areas of expertise.

Hanover Foils was looking for a more polished and professional-looking website to attract new clients, and turned to Slash Technology. We tossed out the old site, collected all sorts of images of foil, and put together a sleek and shiny website with a rotating gallery on the front page. Who knew foil could be sexy?

The Ashland tradition turned 30 in 2011, and it was time for a fresh look for their sorely out-dated website.  More importantly, the Strawberry Faire wanted to move their Vendor and Pageant registration into the 21st century.  Slash Technology created online applications complete with Paypal integration to help the Faire “go green” and reduce the amount of paperwork they faced each year.

Wind in the Willows Pet Sitting

How to make a pet sitting service website stand out?  Taking a clue from YouTube, we filled it with adorable pets.  The front page features actual pets that Wind in the Willows cares for, with a description of the unique personality of each.  The website design reflects the owner’s love of nature and animals.
